Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this website comfortably. Accessibility is our highest design priority, and we build to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA, and Level AAA for text contrast wherever we can.
Features on this site
- Colour themes. Use the toolbar at the top of every page to switch between a high-contrast light theme, a high-contrast dark theme, and a yellow-on-black theme designed for low vision.
- Text size. The same toolbar lets you increase the text size (A, A+, A++). Your choice is remembered on your next visit.
- Keyboard. Every part of the site can be used with a keyboard alone, with a clear, high-contrast outline showing where you are.
- Strong contrast. Text is chosen to stand out clearly from its background in every theme.
- Readable text. We use the Atkinson Hyperlegible typeface, generous spacing, and comfortable line lengths.
- Reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, animations are switched off.
- Zoom. The site stays usable when you zoom your browser up to 400%.
